Training is key to unlocking the potential of individuals and organisations and a primary service provided by Holmwood Consulting Limited is Knowledge Transfer and Executive Briefing for client companies . We are widely involved with training on commercial, markets, trading and technical aspects of the oil, gas and power industries and organise various courses and workshops. Holmwood Consulting Limited seek to ensure that all our courses emphasise practical learning by encompassing interactive sessions, syndicate study exercises and, where appropriate, a business game/simulation to ensure a high level of attendee participation and knowledge transfer. We also strive to present the more technical sections of any course in non-technical language to suit a multi-disciplined group of delegates.

Building on the core energy industry knowledge and proven business skills of its principal and a select network of top experts, we continuously endeavour to develop new courses and to lead market requirements and typically provide training in natural gas markets, gas pipelines and storage, LNG, GTL, energy trading and the very important area of general business skills that we define as Management Essentials. Such knowledge transfer occurs primarily via two types of training provision:

(i) In-company courses, Executive Briefings and Workshops

We create customised energy training, provide executive briefings and give in-company courses reflecting both specified needs and our areas of expertise to develop or update our clients’ staff. Such tailored, instructor led courses are designed to be interactive in nature and can be industry knowledge or business skill based. Classroom training gives participants the opportunity to interact with a live instructor and other trainees and, we believe embeds key learning more effectively. Such tailored, instructor led courses are designed to be interactive in nature and can be industry knowledge or business skill based.

Bringing us to your company is a cost-effective and time-sensitive way of briefing or updating your employees, plus allowing more freedom of discussion of commercially sensitive issues. Through our courses, workshops and executive briefings, we provide efficient and effective knowledge transfer that is customised your specific needs. We can also offer most of our public courses in bespoke formats as in-company courses.

Duration of the training may vary between a day up to a full week. Such tailored, instructor led courses are designed to be interactive in nature and can be industry knowledge or business skill based. They may be offered through an independent training provider or contracted directly with us working in concert with the clients’ in-house training departments to achieve the required knowledge transfer. Contact us to discuss what the objectives are for your training requirement and we will custom design a course to meet your needs.
